The Iron City Forge are searching for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals and interns for the 2025-2026 hockey season. Our ideal candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to multitask, take the initiative to provide solutions and prioritize the consumer experience. Our volunteers and employees should have a passion for sports and be looking to gain hands-on experience in all of the following areas: Broadcasting, Game Operations, Social Media, and Ticketing. Individuals will work closely with our Game Night & Event Manager along with other members of our front office staff to learn, create, and assist with the execution of a top-notch fan experience at all 12 home games.

The Iron City Forge, a proud member of the APHL, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Head Coach to lead the team into its next chapter of competitive Senior A/Semi Pro hockey. As Head Coach, you will be responsible for developing and executing systems and strategies that drive success on the ice, while fostering a high-character, professional locker room culture that reflects the grit and pride of Pittsburgh.

This leadership role requires a hands-on coach who can manage all aspects of team operations—from game preparation and player development to bench management and staff coordination. You’ll be instrumental in mentoring players, building a winning mentality, and representing the Forge brand with integrity in the community and across the league.

The Iron City Forge, a proud member of the APHL, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Coach to support all aspects of the team’s operations and performance. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to implement practice plans, manage in-game strategies, and foster a team-first culture built on accountability, work ethic, and respect.

This position requires a passionate hockey mind who can help develop player skills, contribute to game preparation, and serve as a mentor on and off the ice. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to the Forge’s mission of competing with grit and integrity.

The Scorekeeper plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all game-related data during live hockey events. This includes managing the game clock, tracking goals, assists, penalties, and shots, and communicating with referees and league officials to verify all scoring decisions.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable under pressure, and familiar with the flow of hockey games. The Scorekeeper is essential to maintaining game integrity and providing accurate statistics for teams, coaches, and league records.

The Merchandise Seller is responsible for providing a positive and efficient shopping experience for fans during Iron City Forge games and events. This role includes setting up and managing merchandise booths, processing transactions, restocking inventory, and promoting Forge gear with energy and enthusiasm. As a front-line representative of the brand, the Merchandise Seller helps turn fans into proud supporters through great service and great gear.

The ideal candidate is dependable, personable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Retail or point-of-sale experience is preferred, but not required.

The Ticket Seller is responsible for providing excellent customer service while selling and distributing tickets for Iron City Forge games and events. This role includes operating point-of-sale systems, assisting fans with seating options, resolving ticketing issues, and maintaining accurate transaction records. As one of the first points of contact on game day, the Ticket Seller plays a key role in delivering a smooth and welcoming experience for every guest.

The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling transactions in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in ticketing or customer service is a plus, but training is provided.

The ideal candidate is alert, professional, and calm under pressure, with a strong focus on customer service and safety. Security staff serve as both protectors of the facility and ambassadors of the Forge fan experience.

From coordinating with vendors and managing timelines to overseeing crowd flow and in-game entertainment, the Event Manager is the key driver behind a memorable Forge experience.

Working closely with the game operations and production teams, the Streaming Associate helps deliver a reliable, high-energy broadcast that reflects the excitement of Forge hockey.

The ideal candidate is dependable, tech-savvy, and has a strong eye for live-action framing and movement. Experience with sports broadcasting or live event streaming is preferred, but training can be provided to the right candidate with a passion for camera work.
