Iron City Forge Relocate to Butler County Pennsylvania in Strategic Move
VALENCIA, PA – The Iron City Forge Hockey Club have relocated to Frozen Pond Arena in West Middlesex Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. The relocation includes an undisclosed multi-year commitment to the Butler area.
The Forge are entering their second year in the American Premier Hockey League (APHL), competing in the East Division against the likes of the Buffalo Tempest, Wooster Bulls (OH), and the Thousand Island Raiders (NY).
Owner Matthew De Lozier, commenting on the move to Butler County:
“First, I want to thank the Beaver County Area, our fans, and Brady’s Run Arena for a tremendous first season. Although our season ended early, every weekend felt special. The arena and staff are second to none, so I wish them the best in the future.
Our move to Frozen Pond Arena does not come lightly similar to any major decision, but to channel growth, build on the team’s recent successes, and foster a family friendly environment, a relocation was paramount to achieve these goals.”
Frozen Pond Arena features a state-of-the-art facility with a dine-in café, LED Video-Display, and capacity for over eight hundred fans per game. In addition, the Arena undergoes consistent improvement annually by the dedicated ownership group.
The Forge will be back in action this October.
